Bubble Garden, 2022 
 

These wall sculptures are derived from a toy that my daughter plays with that bubbles and expands when you squeeze it. They are also inspired flowers in our garden that I have been observing everyday this summer. In this moment as her mother, I am reflecting on the idea of her powerful, bubbling and expanding personality and growth. I want to nurture and support her process of finding herself. 

Bubble Garden was included in my two person show, Femininity, Memories & Allegories with Lisu Vega and curated by Felix Suazo at the CSI Project Space in Chicago, IL. It was also included in Coalescence at the Daum Museum of Contemporary Art in Sedalia, MO.
